Tonight we have the pleasure to be rejoined by the amazing Javier Hernandez, the owner of Los Comex, and creator of EL MUERTO, an amazing, genre-pushing comic running since the 1990s. In addition to his comics work, Javier is a frequent participant in comic book conventions, art shows, and cultural festivals. Since 2003 he’s been teaching comic book workshops in schools and libraries. In 2011 he co-founded (with Ricardo Padilla) the LATINO COMICS EXPO, the nation’s first comic book convention devoted to spotlighting the work of Latino comic creators, as well as those working in film, animation, and the related arts. We're pleased to have Javier on the show to discuss leaving a lasting legacy.
